A sweet story of ergonomics and design: StarSweets chooses Dataflex

As an importer and distributor of confectionery and snacks in the Benelux, StarSweets brings a wide and innovative range to the Netherlands. By cooperating with manufacturers from all over Europe and beyond, they always know how to present an up-to-date range. With their headquarters in Breda, the Netherlands, StarSweets is an established name in the region.

After moving from the NAC Stadium to Concordiastraat in April 2024, StarSweets had the entire renovation done by exclusively Breda-based companies.

‘In our eyes, Breda has everything and everything is possible in Breda,’ says Managing Director Joep Welten. With this local involvement, the company is actively contributing to a stronger and closer Breda.

The interior plan was designed by Studio EER, where the motto ‘can't, doesn't exist’ is central. Thanks to their personal approach and close involvement in the process, a beautiful final result was achieved.
The furnishing of the office furniture was provided by Joep Dyckhoff of JüPiter Spaces, using products from the Boring Collection.

Smart, flexible and always at the right height

All workstations are equipped with the Viewgo Pro double monitor arm, which allows two screens to be easily adjusted to the correct position, both sitting and standing. This allows employees to easily adjust their working posture throughout the day, contributing to an ergonomic and dynamic working style. The monitor arm keeps the desk orderly and tidy and is also easy to install.

For personal storage, the Bento® desktop locker was chosen, a modern and practical solution that perfectly suits activity-oriented working and contemporary workplace design.

Sustainability and quality

Both organisations are actively committed to sustainable development and structural quality improvement. StarSweets is mapping its carbon footprint and has appointed a dedicated employee to strengthen its focus on quality and sustainability.
‘With this extra FTE, we are creating the time to be and stay strategically engaged with this theme,’ says Managing Director Joep Welten.
Sustainability is also firmly embedded in Dataflex's operations, underlined by ISO certifications and B Corp certification. Both StarSweets and Dataflex see sustainability as a continuous process, working daily to take new steps towards the future.
